The Meals and Drug Administration (FDA) has granted 510(ok) clearance for the Spectral CT 7500 RT system, which permits clinicians to entry the capabilities of 4D standard computed tomography (CT) and spectral CT in a single scan.
Geared to radiation oncology, the Spectral CT 7500 RT system bolsters tissue characterization with spectral CT, facilitating focused radiotherapy, in line with Philips, the producer of the Spectral CT 7500 RT system.

Emphasizing that the Spectral CT 7500 RT system is the primary radiation remedy CT platform to offer respiratory-gated spectral imaging, Philips mentioned the system gives automated stopping-power ratio (SPR) mapping and direct electron density to enhance the accuracy of radiotherapy dosing.
“The Spectral CT system gives us with a number of capabilities that standard CT doesn’t have. It could present electron density and efficient atomic quantity outcomes, which we are able to convert to the proton stopping-power ratio.
